Throughout the preliminary task, me and my group managed to be introduced to many forms of media, as well equipment being accessible for us. Whilst working on this task, I managed to develop many skills as well as trying new skills but also being able to use equipment in order to help me.
As a group, we aspired to think of ideas related to our location and prop in order to put forward one initial idea of what our preliminary video would be,in the end,we concluded to stage a conversation between a pregnant woman and her friend in a doctors waiting room with the prop of a wig.
Whilst carrying out this project,I took the role of planning the storyboard, this was used to help us whilst recording so as the storyboard showed each shot and what we needed to record at specific parts of the storyline. When recording, myself and two other members of my group took turns on recording to play out even roles, however,I recorded using the fig rig,I found this quite difficult to do so as it was hard to be consistent with taking the shot especially as it was a shot between the two friends which went back and forth as I tried to stay within the 180 degree line.
Within the completed film, I believe I worked best with the editing section as i knew from areas where we recorded of where to trim each part, therefore the changes I would possibly make if I was to complete the project again would be to take time when filming the shot back shot to make sure the shot itself doesn't jog too much.
From the shot lists and story boarding this taught me that it was very important and will be very important in the planning stages of the big production as it helped us see what needs to be shot which will help the recording much easier.
