Through watching the title sequences of films such as Forest Gump, Juno and Skyfall I was able to identify the main conventions of a title sequence.
Forrest Gump used narrative through the title sequence which allowed audience to discover the genre of the film.
The opening of the title sequence included the general conventions, such as indent, cast list and production lift. This was dytj in all three of the films openings u was. Juno had a more stylised opening with the use of cartoon drawings to establish the surroundings. The opening followed the main character, a teenage girl, this allowed the audience to gather an understanding of the films genre. The genre of the film is also established through the final destination that the main character ends up at, a store that sells drugs, a stereotypically common thing for teenagers to experiment with.
