Film Opening Title Sequences

Skyfall (2012)

In this title sequence, we see an establishing shot which sets the scene and idea of the location and what the movie would be about, including close-ups and extreme close-ups, this has been used to emphasise the use of certain props such as guns and cards, especially with the repetitiveness. Furthermore, the selection of soundtrack goes with what the imagery show, such as the floating bodies along with the slow music. Additionally, the portrayal of mirroring edits and shadows also enhances on the idea of the genre, this could symbolise an idea of the characters.                          

Up(2009)

Up(2009) - Art of the title

In this title sequence, we see an animated title sequence in the theme of flicking through a book, many still images are included which concludes what sort of movie it is and the images give the audience an idea of the movie. Furthermore, the whole aspect of being book themed hints the idea of the narrative and what the audience is to look forward to as well as immediately knowing who the movie is targeted at.
