Title Sequence Types

- Titles on a Blank Screen
Titles on a blank screen are seen to be quite low budget, they are seen as simple and low budget, they are much easier to create, this is why they are not used as much anymore. They also have a high contrast.
- Titles on still imagesThey are more elaborate, the original ones were created with hand-drawn images. They coincide with credits getting longer in length. It also requires different media to make, for example, music in the background.
Titles over moving images usually have sound but no dialogue. The moving image serves to offer either a metaphor or narrative thread, which is relevant to the theme or the title of the movie.

- Titles using Animation or Motion
In the 1990's, the use of animated graphics started to become popular. This category of title sequence requires a lot of digital technology and stylized editing which takes longer than usual to do.
- What do I like best?
My favourite type of title sequence is Titles using animation or motion. This is because I like the way there are movements and animations within the title sequence as it makes it more interesting and draws in the audience to continue watching the rest of the movie. I also likes the way it slightly plays with the screen sometimes, which is more intriguing.
