Half Term Research- Props

Props

Seeing as the title sequence idea is a robber running from a bank robbery, their are very little props that are needed. However I think 2 main props would be essential to have, that is a black duffle bag and a black face mask.
Black Duffle Bag- It's a travel bag, can be portrayed to be what the money is being carried in (from bank robbery) as many films do this. We could either buy a cheap one online or borrow one from friends or family as it's quite a common item and therefore easily accessible. It would be used throughout the film opening as it will really help the audience to understand the storyline being a robber escaping from a bank robbery, as in many bank robbery scenes duffle bags are either used throughout, picked up or dropped of somewhere and they are usually what the chaser wants along with the person carrying it.

Black Mask- all black mask, woven material made to cover the whole face except the eyes and mouth. We could get it by ordering it cheaply online, either from eBay, Amazon etc. The black mask will be used throughout the complete title sequence opening as it will form s strong part of the character, of wanting to remain hidden and unidentifiable due to the crime they have just committed. It's only at the end of the title sequence when the robber has escaped the person chasing her that she actually takes off her mask and reveals her identity to the audience so they can have a clear idea of who the main character of the film is.

These props if incorporated into our film will prove to make it clear the storyline we are trying to put across but also help convey some messages that are not explicitly made in the title sequence.
